The filing deadline for the Arkansas-side school board elections is noon today.

As of presstime Thursday, seven candidates had filed for school board seats in three Miller County school districts.

In the Texarkana, Ark., School District, three people have filed for the two, three-year seats are up for election.

Kyle Davis, Zone 1 incumbent, who ran unopposed in the 2002 and 2005 elections, has not filed. If he does today, he will face off against Penny Easley and Adger Smith, both running for the first time.
