The dam and spillway at Wright Patman Lake will be due a 10-year inspection next year.

Mike Bransford, an official with the U.S. Amry Corps of Engineers, told members of the Sulphur River Basin Authority’s Steering Committee the dam appears to be in solid shape despite the fact it’s now 52-years-old.

During his presentation at the annual SRBA meeting Thursday, Bransford showed the committee slides depicting inspection work at the dam and spillway from 1999.
