Judge asks for summaries on accused murderer’s mental state
Lawyers must file legal briefs by July 25 for a circuit court judge to make a decision on the mental competency of a Nashville, Ark., murder suspect.
Calvin Bennett’s mental competency hearing continued until nearly midnight Wednesday. He faces two counts of capital murder in the deaths of an elderly Nashville couple Oct. 30, 2006.
