Two Titus County men are facing charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after separate family violence incidents. Both have $1 million bonds set, officials said.

Julian Bautisa Nava, 28, of Mount Pleasant, Texas, is being held at the Titus County jail on $1 million bond after he was arrested Tuesday, said Chief Deputy Miguel Larsen.

Early Tuesday morning, the suspect poured gasoline on and threatened to burn a woman and her 5-year-old son, Larsen alleged.

Nava is reportedly the victim’s boyfriend but not the boy’s father.
