The congregation of Lonoke Baptist Church will celebrate the 51st anniversary of the ministry of the Rev. C.K. Yarber and his wife, Inez, at 3 p.m. Sunday.

The speaker for the afternoon event will be Dr. Mayfield Brewster, pastor of Greater New Hope Baptist Church and longtime friend and colleague of Yarber.

Throughout Yarber’s more than five decades at Lonoke—his first and only church—the congregation has grown from only a handful of members to a membership of more than 600.
