Man pleads guilty in assisting in Miller County jail roof escape
A Texarkana, Ark., man pleaded guilty Friday to “instigating or assisting escape” in connection with his February escape from the Miller County jail.
Charley Lee Langston, 35, appeared with his attorney, John Stroud of Texarkana, before U.S. District Judge Harry Barnes of the Western District of Arkansas. Instigating or assisting escape is a violation of federal law. Langston and another inmate, 27-year-old Jason Thompson escaped in February through a hole in the jail’s roof.
