New Boston library to hold reading program

New Boston Public Library, in conjunction with the 2008 Texas Reading Club, is holding their annual summer reading program beginning Tuesday.

The reading program, which is sponsored by the Texas State Library and Archives Commission, is provided to help children get excited about reading. Children in grades pre-kindergarten through fifth grade are encouraged to attend free of charge. Activities and events will be included.

This year’s theme is Texas Reading Club Jubilee: 1958-2008, and celebrates the 50th anniversary of the program.
