The Arkansas Kids Count Coalition is convening in Texarkana with an aim at keeping Arkansas families moving forward.

The coalition will make its second stop on a statewide summer tour, from 10 a.m. to noon, Thursday at the Miller County Heath Unit, 503 Walnut St.

“We’re getting a group of people together from different (professional) backgrounds and we will talk about basic issues facing kids in Arkansas,” said Tara Manthey, Arkansas Advocates for Children and Families communications director.
