The pets of the week are a 2-year-old male dachshund named Soup and a gray domestic shorthair female cat named Suzy Q.

Soup is located in Cage D7 and Suzy Q is located in Cage C5.

The Texarkana Animal Shelter has several dogs, puppies, kittens and cats available for adoption.

The fee to adopt dogs is $40. Cats can be adopted for $20 each. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday. The shelter is located at 203 Harrison St.
