Newly-appointed Texarkana Independent School District Board member Donna Chatman began her term during Tuesday’s board meeting as her predecessor Jerry Chapman said his good-byes.

Chatman, a community member and longtime TISD volunteer, was appointed to the District 4 position after Chapman tendered his resignation during the June 17 regular session.
