Inmate says he escaped to visit his ailing grandmother
![]() Staff photo by Tanner Spendley Bennie Ray Johnson was captured in Fayetteville, Ark., Monday after escaping from Miller County Correctional Facility July 8. Prior to his court appearance, Bennie Ray “Juice” Johnson, explained his escape was a spur of the moment decision. “That was a golden opportunity for me,” said 23-year-old Johnson while waiting for his turn before Circuit Judge Jim Hudson. “I didn’t know till that night.
