The Texarkana, Ark., Police Department has moved the date for its 25th annual National Night Out neighborhood and block parties to Oct. 7, for officers, firefighters and city official to visit with local residents.

National Night Out celebrations will be held from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. as residents turn their porch lights on and focus on organizing neighborhoods against crime.
