One of two brothers charged in officer assault pleads not guilty
One of two brothers facing criminal charges in connection with the beating of an Alcohol Control officer in an Arkansas nightclub last month entered a plea of not guilty Tuesday morning.
John Attaway, 23, appeared for arraignment before Circuit Judge Jim Hudson. Attorney Shorty Barrett of the Texarkana firm, Barrett & Tyler, is representing Attaway, who has been charged with battery and interfering with an officer. If convicted, he faces between three and 10 years for interfering with an officer. The battery charge carries a punishment of up to six years in prison. Both...
