Eight candidates filed for school board seats in three school districts in Miller County and two are unopposed.

In the Texarkana, Ark., School District, three people have filed for two three-year seats which are up for election.

Penny Easley, a supervisor of the call center at Century Bank, and Adger Smith, owner of Adger Smith Performance Engines of Texarkana, Texas, will face off for Zone 1. The seat was previously held by Kyle Davis who is not seeking re-election.

In TASD’s Zone 6, the incumbent Carol Dalby is unopposed.
