Two local men have been named to a committee that will relay public concerns to the state as Interstate 69 is constructed in Texas.

Brad McCaleb, director of the Texarkana Metropolitan Planning Organization, was named by that agency Wednesday, and Bowie County Judge James Carlow recommended civil engineer Bob Murray.

“I’m anxious to get them on board. They’ll have a very important role,” Carlow said.
