Pleasant Grove Baptist Church will host a Deeper Life conference at 10:15 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday.

The speaker is Dr. Ronnie Mayes, senior pastor of Rose Hill Baptist Church, Ashland, Ky.

Mayes, who was licensed in the ministry by a local church, holds bachelor of arts and master of science degrees in sociology and psychology. He also earned master of divinity and doctor of ministry degrees.

He serves on the executive board of the Kentucky Baptist Convention and has held pastorates in Montana, Mississippi, Tennessee, Arkansas and Kentucky.
