The Nash Police Department was awarded $4,000 from the Texas Department of Transportation for its participation in the Click It or Ticket seatbelt enforcement mobilization during the extended Memorial Day holiday weekend.

“It’s about them making the roads safer for Texas drivers,” said Irene M. Webster, traffic safety specialist for TxDOT.

Nash Police Department will use the $4,000 incentive to purchase equipment.
