Two inmates brawled in the intake area of the Miller County jail Tuesday evening and will face new felonies.

Phillip Cornelius, 17, and Byron Wafer, 40, will have their first judicial appearance today before a judge in Miller County.

As a result of the fight, about $900 in damage was done to computer equipment used during the booking process, said Miller County Sheriff’s Deputy Don Thornell.

Cornelius used the computer monitor to shield himself from a broomstick allegedly being struck by Wafer. The monitor and other accessories were destroyed, Thornell said....
