Sore spot: Medicated patch patent center of local business’ lawsuit

A Texarkana business is suing a host of pharmaceuticals companies it claims have infringed on patents it owns for medicated patches.

LecTec is described in the suit as a “Minnesota corporation with its principal place of business at 1407 South Kings Highway in Texarkana, Texas.”

Pain-relieving medicines sold in patch form, such as Icy Hot and BENGAY, are said to unlawfully infringe on two LecTec patents, according to the suit filed Friday.
