Woman given probation in theft of identity
A former hospital billing clerk pleaded guilty Tuesday to stealing the identity of a patient.
Carolyn V. Hodges, 42, received a sentence of 10 years’ probation from Miller County Circuit Judge Kirk Johnson. Hodges will have to pay restitution to the victim in “an amount to be de-termined,” said Deputy Prosecutor Katie Carter. “To alleviate the need of the victim having to come to testify, we have made an offer of probation,” Carter said.
