A building that served as local headquarters for presidential candidate Barrack Obama during the Democratic primaries is the new Bowie County Democratic Party headquarters for the fall campaign.

During a grand opening ceremony Friday evening, Bowie County Democratic Party officials gathered at the office, 321 West Seventh St., to christen and commission the office into new activity.
