Setting two public hearing dates on a municipal tax rate will be addressed by the Wake Village City Council at 7 tonight.

The council is expected to set the first public hearing for 6 p.m. Aug. 25 and the second at 6 p.m. Sept. 2 at Wake Village City Hall.

The public hearings will seek public input on the city’s real property tax rate, which is just under 37 cents per $100 valuation.

After collecting public input, the council could keep the current rate or set a new one at its Sept. 8 meeting.

The council will hold a workshop at 6:30 p.m.
