The Wake Village City Council held a public hearing Monday to get residents’ input on the city’s real property tax rate, which is now just under 37 cents per $100 valuation.

Just before the hearing, Wake Village Mayor Mike Huddleston recommended to the council that the city keep its current tax rate, which has not changed since 1994.

Three residents attended the meeting, but none of them voiced an opinion about the current tax rate.
