Albert Murphy, Genoa Central Schools superintendent, is the 2008 Southwest Arkansas Superintendent of the Year.

He recently received the award at the Arkansas Rural Education Association Summer Conference in Eureka Springs.

The award states: “In recognition and appreciation for dedicated service to the Association and enriching the lives and education of the rural children of Arkansas.”
