The Bowie County Juvenile Program Center will conduct an open house from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at 1324 W. Seventh St.

The building, formerly the Bowie County Juvenile Detention Center, will now be a place where juvenile offenders must come to continue their education after a court has ordered them out of public schools, said Rebecca Valenzuela, training and probation officer coordinator for the center.

The center will have three classrooms and a counselor for both individual and group counseling.
