A Texarkana man accused of committing a string of robberies at knifepoint that began in July and ended in early August was indicted by a Bowie County grand jury last week.

Jerome Gustave, 17, is being held in the Bowie County jail and has so far been unable to post $400,000 in bail.

In Texas, individuals accused of criminal conduct are treated as adults once they reach their 17th birthday. Gustave faces two counts of aggravated robbery and one count of attempted aggravated sexual assault. Each count is punishable by five to 99 years or life in a Texas prison.
