Bringle Lake is home to new development, including a new college campus. The lake is home to at least four alligators that have lived in the lake undisturbed, at least until recently.

Making the presence of the alligators more problematic for those visiting the lake, people have been feeding the alligators from the fishing dock.

One alligator in particular has been causing quite a ruckus.

“We’ve got one that’s 8-foot-long and when he sees people, he swims up to the dock,” said Shawn Hervey, a Texas Parks & Wildlife game warden.
