An insurance policy will pay $15,000 to a dump truck driver who filed a lawsuit against the Miller County Sheriff’s Department and a deputy alleging excessive force in his arrest.

The lawsuit was settled Thursday morning during the second day of a jury trial in the Miller County Courthouse.

Lawyers for Miller County and dump truck driver Don Letterman had a conference with Circuit Judge Jim Hudson in his office to discuss a settlement.
