A forestry and wildlife field day is set for 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 18 at the University of Arkansas Southwest Research and Extension Center in Hope, Ark.

The program will include quail management, poultry litter application, pine tree thinning, herbicides in hardwoods, management practices, tree shelters, and hardwood plantings for cost share programs.

“This will be a chance to learn about current topics in forestry and wildlife, and get expert answers to questions,” said Dr. Victor Ford, station director at the research center.
