A Texarkana man pleaded guilty Monday afternoon to making threatening statements to a witness who testified in his son’s 2006 sexual assault trial in Bowie County.

John Todd, 61, will return to court later this month for sentencing by 5th District Judge Ralph Burgess.

Officials with the Bowie County probation department will prepare a report for the court on Todd’s educational and criminal histories.
