Nash city residents got the chance to voice their opinions about the city’s tax rate during a Monday public hearing, but no one did.

The city’s real property tax rate is just about 32 cents per $100 valuation.

Since no one expressed any opinion about the tax rate, the council will consider keeping the current rate as it plans its upcoming fiscal year 2008-09 budget later this month.

In other business, Tom Dowdall, municipal marketing manager for Waste Management Inc., delivered a slide presentation on recycling metal, paper and other products.
