Texas-side police said they caught two would-be burglars in the act of robbing a residence Monday.

Shortly before noon Monday, while responding to a residential alarm in the 1600 block of West Fifth Street, Officer Aaron Wafford observed a suspect exiting the residence, said Shawn Fitzgerald, Texarkana, Texas, Police Department spokesman.

The suspect spotted the officer and fled back into the house, then left the residence from another exit with a second suspect. Shortly after fleeing the scene, both suspects were arrested.
