Officials say 10,000 expected to attend annual football game

Tickets for the Texas High versus Arkansas High football game are on sale today at both districts.

School officials foresee high attendance Friday night at the newly renovated Tiger Stadium at Grim Park. No tickets will be sold at the game.

“They are going to go pretty quick,” said Tina Veal Gooch, Texarkana Independent School District spokesman, who said she believes the AHS-THS game is the best game of the season.

“We are anticipating about 10,000 people Friday night.”
