Wireless telephone communication may soon reach new heights in Wake Village.

During its regular monthly meeting Monday, the Wake Village City Council agreed to allow Atlanta, Ga.-based American Tower to build a 190-foot wireless communication tower on Proetz Lane.

The council also agreed to keep the city’s real property tax rate at its current level of just under 37 cents per $100 valuation—the rate for the past 14 years.
