Records: Miller County inmate was released without cause

Miller County Chief Prose-cutor Brent Haltom is asking the Arkansas State Police to investigate how an inmate with a $10,000 bond was released from the Miller County jail without paying a cent.

Miller County Sheriff Linda Rambo and a guard from the Miller County jail appeared Tuesday before Circuit Judge Jim Hudson at a show cause hearing regarding the release of Joshua James Gossett.

“Hopefully nobody gave false information on that,” said Haltom of the statements made by Rambo and correctional officer Dolly Simmons.
