Finishing Touches: Fans brave weather, lines for tickets

Crews work through downpour to get renovated stadium ready for big game

Tiger and Razorback football fans weathered thunderstorms Tuesday to get tickets for Friday night’s crosstown rival game.

Sheri Cook, a Pleasant Grove graduate, stood in line Tuesday for about an hour to buy tickets for her daughters who attend schools in TISD.

“They go to the game every year and need tickets,” said Cook, who said her oldest daughter, Rosalyn, 16, could sit in the section for Texas High School students but Rosalyn wants to sit with her sister and mother. Cook said she did not mind braving rain to get tickets.
