James Carville talks politics at SAU

MAGNOLIA, Ark.—The self-described political “Ragin’ Cajun” James Carville let his opinions rage again Tuesday night during the Farmer’s Bank & Trust Distinguished Speakers Series on the campus of Southern Arkansas University.

Carville, who served as a political consultant for Bill Clinton in 1992 and helped the former Arkansas governor to become president, hit on the current presidential election.

In his opening remarks, Carville, a Louisiana native, described the evening as a gathering of 400 rednecks and one Louisiana “coon ass.”
