NEW BOSTON, Texas—Jurors in the punishment trial of a man who pleaded guilty to aggravated sexual assault deliberated about two hours Thursday and sentenced him to five years in prison.

“We’re not here for second chances. It’s called punishment for a reason,” argued Assistant District Attorney Kristian Young in her closing arguments Thursday morning. “We’re here to punish him for what he did to this child.”
