Ina McDowell, Texarkana Museums System executive director, will step down in October to take a development position with CHRISTUS St. Michael Foundation.

“I’ve enjoyed my work here. It’s been challenging and very rewarding. I honestly have been honored to be part of the Museums System,” McDowell said.

She took over the top position at TMS in June 2004, replacing Guy Vanderpool.

In a statement, Dr. Andrew S. Curry, TMS board director, wrote the board wishes McDowell well in her endeavors and appreciates her years of service.
