There was anything but fair weather Friday for the opening night of the Four States Fair. But after a rather heavy downpour subsided, the fairgrounds came right back to life.

Dwight Duncan, president of the Four States Fair Association, said he is not discouraged by the weather.

“I expect a full house for WWE (wrestling). Tomorrow night (Saturday) we’ve got the demolition derby—all inside,” Duncan said.

The vendors, including Jeff Hardin, are also hopeful they can weather the storm.
