Man receives federal probation for importing harmful fish case

A San Antonio man who pleaded guilty several months ago to importing illegal fish he bought in Texarkana, Ark., to Texas was sentenced last week to federal probation.

William Lamar Stoner pleaded guilty to importing harmful fish without a permit, a misdemeanor, about five months ago before U.S. District Judge David Folsom of the Eastern District of Texas. He was sentenced by Folsom on Tuesday to three years’ probation.
