The English Department at Texas A&M University- Texarkana and English Club will host a poetry reading at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Akin Building, Room 117.

Guest host is poet Wendy Taylor Carlisle, who has written her second book, “Discount Fireworks.” The book is the winner of the Bernice Blackgrove Award for excellence.
