Kids for the Cure T-shirt design winner announced

Pleasant Grove Middle School sixth-grader Meagan McCoy won the Kids for the Cure T-shirt design contest, the kids’ division of Texarkana Race for the Cure.

Meagan’s design was chosen out of almost 1,000 drawn by local children in the second through sixth grades.

“I’m very excited and very proud of her,” said Heather Pennington, Meagan’s mom. “I told her yesterday afternoon she’d won, but she didn’t know it would be this big of a deal.”
