Community services and activities at the Southwest Center remain on hold as the facility is being used as emergency management headquarters after recent hurricanes.

However, registration for the community garage sale or park pavilion rentals is ongoing. Texarkana, Texas, holds open garage sales in the spring and fall at Spring Lake Park. Rental spaces are $15 and are 20 feet by 20 feet. Weapons, food and animals cannot be sold.
