Hearing on proposed power plant is today
A second public hearing to discuss the proposed coal-fired electric power plant near Fulton, Ark., is at 6 p.m. today in the library auditorium at the University of Arkansas Community College at Hope, 2500 S. Main St.
The hearing is limited to changes in the federal law regarding mercury emissions. The District of Columbia Court of Appeals abandoned the existing rules regarding mercury emissions.
