Some additional research must be conducted before a historic wood-frame house in the 700 block of Pecan Street in Texarkana, Ark., is demolished.

That conclusion was drawn Wednesday when the Texarkana, Ark., Historic District Commission heard a report on the turn-of-the-century home, known as the Whitmarsh House. During Wednesday’s regular meeting, Ernie Bradford told fellow commissioners that additional research will be needed along with more property photographs before a recommendation can be made on the home’s disposition.
