Power is slowly coming back on for most Texarkana-area residents.

As of 5 p.m. Wednesday, about 500 Texarkana AEP-SWEPCO customers remained without power, according to the company’s Website.

Power had been restored to all Southwest Arkansas REA customers by 10 p.m. Tuesday.

“We appreciate everyone’s patience as we worked through difficulties in reconstruction of this magnitude. We are so grateful to our crews and all employees who have worked extended hours to restore power in such an expeditious manner,” the statement on the Website said.
