Liberty-Eylau Independent School District’s voters go to the polls today to decide the fate of an increase in teachers’ salaries.

The school tax rate in L-E is $1.226950 per $100 valuation and officials are hoping voters approve an increase to $1.30 per $100 valuation. It is a proposed 7-cent increase in real property taxes.

The sole polling place will be open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at L-E Middle School.
