Texarkana, Ark., and Texas, police made arrests in connection with mailbox bombings that occurred early last month, officials said in a joint press release.

Nathan Jeremy Drake, 17, of Nash, Texas, and Phillip Richard Schelkopf, 18, of Texarkana, Texas, were arrested in connection with the explosions that occurred in the early morning hours of Aug. 10 on the Texas side, said Sgt. Shawn Fitzgerald, TTPD spokesman. TTPD officers arrested Drake on Sept. 17 and Schelkopf was arrested Friday.
