Two women charged with hindering apprehension in connection with the fatal shooting of a Texas Department of Public Safety trooper have pleaded not guilty.

Jennifer Lynne Petrick, 36, and Paula Michelle Tucker, 39, appeared Thursday before 5th District Judge Ralph Burgess. Both entered pleas of not guilty to helping Brandon Wayne Robertson after he shot Trooper Scott Burns from the window of his car April 29.

Both women face between two and 10 years in prison. In mid-October Petrick and Tucker will appear before Burgess again for pretrial hearings.
